- Keycom’s Purpose: High Chief Ganiyu Adeniyi, Chairman of Oke-Onigbin United Farmers Association, led the discussion by outlining our purpose. We are gearing up for the Cocoa Harvest Season, and our aim is to connect local and international marketers with our farmers.
- Keycom’s Commitment: I, as the COO, emphasized our commitment to fulfill our promises. We assured transparency in transactions, even allowing local buyers to deal directly with us. This garnered applause for our openness.
- Soil Quality Concerns: A vital concern surfaced regarding soil quality, affecting cocoa yields. We pledged to explore solutions and provide feedback promptly to enhance productivity.
- Q&A Session: Tough questions were posed, and I provided detailed, up-to-date answers in line with our CEO and Board’s guidance.
- Gratitude and Partnership: The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the association’s secretary. CFAN expressed their desire for Keycom’s support, including our subsidized herbicides, fertilizers, and interest-free loans, as previously provided to Oke-Onigbin United Farmers Association.
Following the meeting, we explored the rich terrain, witnessing barns, tools, new piggery farms, poultry birds, and expansive fish ponds. These sights underscore the agro-rich potential of this historic region.
